BruBotics is the interdisciplinary Human Robotics Research Center of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), bringing together more than 150 researchers and over 20 professors from engineering, artificial intelligence, rehabilitation sciences, movement sciences, social sciences, ageing, and eHealth. Its mission is to develop sustainable, human-centered robotics that improve quality of life and enhance productivity while addressing societal challenges.

Located in the heart of Europe, BruBotics combines expertise in robotic actuation, exoskeletons, prosthetics, collaborative robots, human-robot interaction, artificial intelligence, and rehabilitation technologies. Through close collaboration with industry, healthcare institutions, and international research partners, BruBotics translates scientific advances into practical solutions and innovative spin-offs.

The center coordinates numerous European and national research projects and has contributed to the creation of successful ventures in medical and robotic technologies. With its unique multidisciplinary approach, BruBotics aims to bridge the gap between academia, industry, and society, advancing the next generation of robotics that augment human capabilities and support healthier, safer, and more productive lives.
